We are an Eastern European inspired mini-farm, managed by young apprentice farmers co-operative using French and Biointensive methods to grow the best Pacific Northwest & European varieties of vegetables, herbs, and fruits. As a training ground for young farmers, Shipki farm's vision is to nurture skills and a cooperative lifestyle that will contribute to a healthy relationship to the earth and the local community. We offer 10 CSA shares per season, and have other clients and marketing strategies as well. Growing good food nourishes the body, soul, heart, and mind of everyone and keeps us in harmony with Nature!
For the Farm Tour weekend we'll have:
Visitors to Shipki Farm during the tour can enjoy an educational "veggie-treasure hunt" as they stroll through the gardens, and will also have the opportunity to visit our 1968 school bus Art Gallery. Local art and seasonal vegetables will be available for purchase.
Directions: If southbound on on SR 525, turn right onto Cultus Bay Rd and go 1.5 miles, then turn left on Deer Lake Rd. Turn right on Holst Road and go 1.3 miles. If northbound, turn left on Deer Lake Rd from SR 525, following the left bend onto Holst Rd, traveling a total of 2.8 miles from SR 525. The farm will be on your left.
Note: A one-lane drive with wide shoulders is shared between Fern Ridge Alpacas and Shipki Farm. Follow parking signs to each farm. A turn-around is available at Fern Ridge Alpacas.
